Chester Lakes Terms & Conditions

We let a pitch to you with the expectation that you will follow the usual customs of good camping and caravanning. We reserve the right to ask you to leave at any point of your stay if the behaviour of any member of your party is unacceptable to us and no refund of monies will be paid.
  1. We DO NOT allow dogs onto Chester Lakes. Anyone bringing a dog, even if it stays in a caravan/vehicle will be asked to leave with no refund. 
  2. ALL guests/visitors for Fishing, camping, PODs, and caravanning must book in at reception on arrival. Reception is open from 8am ? 6pm
  3. In peak and high seasons pitches are available from 2pm on the day your stay commences.  In value and low seasons you may arrive earlier. 
  4. If you are to arrive after 6.00 pm you must arrange with site manager.
  5. You must vacate by 10.00 am on the day of departure and leave the pitch in a clean and tidy state. Pitches offered are per tent not person.
  6. You must inform us of any changes and extras prior to your arrival.  Once you have made your booking and made either an initial payment or the full amount for your booking, the price of the holiday will not be subject to change unless your holiday requirements change.
  7. You may request a specific pitch, BUT THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED. 
  8. The person who signs the Booking Form is responsible for the booking and warrants that they are over 18 years of age and that the party will not exceed the numbers stated on the booking form. 
  9. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN for cancellations, we can reschedule a date within one month of original booking.
  10. Chester Lakes will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to any property including, motor vehicles and personal effects, howsoever caused or sustained. 
  11. The speed limit is 5mph. Please drive SLOWLY.  This includes bicycles and any other wheeled conveyances. Drivers must hold a licence and have tax and MOT as appropriate. No recreational vehicles such as motorised scooters or quad bikes are allowed. 
  12. You must ensure children (Aged 16 and under) in your party are properly supervised at all times, in all areas of the park, including the play area and all amenities. We have very deep waters around the site too. 
  13. Open fires and ground level barbecues are not permitted. Fire pits are available to hire. The use of generators is not permitted on site.  Cutting or damaging trees and other vegetation is strictly prohibited and the natural conditions are not to be disturbed. This includes tying ropes to, or driving nails into trees. 
  14. If there is a problem or dissatisfaction with any matters under our control, please notify us immediately, so we may have the opportunity to rectify issues.  We cannot accept liability in relation to any claim of whatever nature if you fail to notify us within seven days from the end of your stay with us.
  15. Electric: Low wattage camping equipment only to be used, e.g. 800 watt kettles. Domestic kettles and heaters are not permitted.
  16. We have limited amount of electric cables for hire, please do not reply on us supplying as first come first served. 
  17. Please consider other campers and keep noise to a minimum, any disturbance or complaints from other campers will result in you having to leave the site immediately. 
Please Note: We reserve the right to terminate the agreement / booking without refund of money if the behavior of any guest is considered unacceptable, or if the number of occupants exceeds that stated at the time of booking.

Our booking fees DO NOT include holiday insurance. We therefore recommend that you take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance to cover you in the event that you have to cancel or terminate your holiday unexpectedly. 

Dodleston Lake (Specimen) No one under 21 years of age can fish this lake, even if accompanied by someone over 21 year of age.
  • All anglers and guests / visitors must register at reception, all that wish to fish must pay before fishing. 
  • Strictly NO swimming or boating, anyone found to be attempting to swim in any of Chester Lakes will be asked to leave. Re-entry to Chester Lakes will NOT be re considered. 
  • Strictly no dogs / pets allowed. 
  • All visitors to the site must keep to the paths at all times and not cause damage to flora or fauna. 
  • Barbless hooks only to be used on the match pools 
  • When fishing on the Dodleston and Gorstella lakes 10lb line minimum plus maximum size 4 hooks. 
  • BBQ?s may be used on hard standing only 
  • All litter must be taken away including cigarette ends. 
  • Day tickets are from dawn to dusk. (24hrs, 8am to 8am) 
  • All landing nets must be dipped before fishing (keep nets must only be used during matches) 
  • All rigs must be semi fixed or running. (No braided main lines) 
  • All left over bait to be taken away with you. (Any leftover maggot must be discarded into lakes and not placed in on site bins) 
  • All bait in moderation. 
  • All particle bait must be inspected before fishing. 
  • A maximum of 2 rods is permitted per angler. 
  • Respect other anglers and your surroundings. 
  • No children under 16 years old allowed to fish at Chester Lakes without adult supervision. 
  • All fish to be handled with care and returned as quickly as possible. (Anglers fishing for carp must have an unhooking mat) 
  • Anyone caught breaking these rules will be banned for a period of time or life by site management. 
  • The owners accept no liability for loss or damage to vehicles or equipment whilst using this facility. No tackle should be left unattended 
  • All fish being photographed must be held over an unhooking matt at all times - photographs should be taken kneeling down under no circumstances should you be standing up 
  • All fish must be returned to the water alive
